Changing Strategies

AV has participated with a lecture at the Changing Strategies final event.

Changing Strategies is an organization run by students from the University of Technology in Vienna. The organization runs a studio every year, and the semester ends with a construction made by students and a panel and lecture event.
This year’s panel list further included Tobias Bernstrup, Theo Deutinger, Jacque Fresco, Barbara Imhof, Arthur Marsiske, MarcosNovak, Christian Waldvogel, Dagmar Richter.

Architecture and Vision has partecipated to the panel discussion Determining the edge, introducing Kathleen McCarthy’s exhibition of spatial sculptures.

«These large three-dimensional drawing, created with clear fishing line, hover near the edge of invisibility, but their mass exerts a visual gravity, pulling the viewer into sensory engagement – to awareness of the space and of ounce’s own presence in it. We slow down and move around, exploring and questioning our perceptions.»

Kathleen McCarthy’s art installations are on exhibit from the 12 up to 29 October.

Space Designer – Designed Birdhouses

AV has been selected by the Birdhouse Foundation as designers for Space Designer – Designed Birdhouses.

The Birdhouse Foundation invites designers to build their idea of a birdhouse, which stands as a symbol for living in harmony with nature.
