1st Infra-Free Life Symposium

December 1st, 2006

AV is participating at the 1st Infra-Free Life Symposium that will take place in Istanbul, December 11 to 15.

“Gravity architecture” refers to all the traditions, baggage, and preconceptions that have been accumulating for millennia in the field of architecture. With the paradigm shift toward information-based and digital production, we have an opportunity to expand toward an “anti-gravity architecture”.
This symposium seeks to integrate smart, technologically or biologically inspired, or other unconventional approaches to lead to aggressive improvements in the efficiency, versatility and safety of future architecture. The foundation of this multi-disciplinary project is research on smart materials and construction systems associated with micro-electronics, environment protection, sensing and real-time adaptation to system changes.
