Paris, France, April 25 – August 15, 2007
AV has been invited to exhibit their MarsCruiserOne in the upcoming exhibition Airs de Paris in the Centre Pompidou in Paris. The exhibition Airs de Paris is a large show celebrating 30 years of the Centre Georges Pompidou. The opening will be on the 24th of April 2007 in gallery 1 on the first floor. The exhibition intends to show new and recent works by reknown artists, designers and architects whose interests revolve around the theme of the city (e.g. city space, civitas, urban space etc.). For instance, the city as place of mutation, the city as network, city and society and the city as a space of visual identity. Against this background Paris acts as a sort of starting point and stimulator around these thoughts. Each day the museum has about 4000 visitors from all over the world.
AV has been invited to represent a future outlook to Human settlements in space.
«The MarsCruiserOne is in our view an ideal example of the conjugation of research, collaboration with industry, technological innovation and also it embodies current debates about space exploration, living in extreme conditions and new technologies. The topicality of the themes mentioned here above would ensure that the project in the exhibition would be granted the highest possible visibility (catalogue, press, forum, podcast, website) and media coverage also due to the importance of the event.» (Original text from the invitation letter of the museum)
