«The challenge of future architecture will be
to re‑integrate the human habitat into nature’s eco‑system
and enhance the beauty of nature, not to destroy it.»

Arturo Vittori

Under the title The Beauty of the Extreme, AV presented a lecture on their recent projects for
architectural students at the Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chicago. In addressing how human exploration of new environments make technological development necessary in order to provide for human survival and comfort, Arturo Vittori highlighted many of the new challenges and possibilities in designing projects inspired by the wisdom of nature and informed by the expertise of space technology to create shelters that are extremely functional and beautiful for its inhabitants.
