Arturo Vittori will be one of the speaker at the Rhino User Meeting, that will be held in Rome, Italy, next June.
Developed in collaboration with the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, the event will allow users, teachers and students, developers, resellers and the McNeel team share their knowledge and experience in 3D Modeling, and will let any user show whatever he/she designs in his/her professional or private life in a special Pecha Kucha session.

Gravity Free 2008: The Year of Dangerous Minds

Arturo Vittori has been invited to speak at Gravity Free, a Multidisciplinary Design Innovation Conference launched by Exhibitor Magazine Editor-in-Chief, Lee Knight, focusing on the essential and ubiquitous role of design “seen as a bright thread woven into information, storytelling, environment, theater, graphics, product presentation, technology, entertainment and virtually every endeavor that involves human interaction.” Each year, Gravity Free brings together some of the most passionate designers, design thinkers and innovators from diverse design disciplines to explore a specific theme.

Arturo will speak to this year’s conference theme, “The Year of Dangerous Minds.” The theme celebrates creative risk-taking and “explores the boldness of larger-than-life revolutionaries who redraw the boundaries with their own personal line in the sand and whose shock waves often reverberate well beyond their own disciplines.” The line-up of more than twenty speakers includes kinetic sculptor Theo Jansen, industrial designer Luigi Colani, “prefab” architect Michelle Kaufmann, CuteCircuit interaction designers Francesca Rosella and Ryan Genz, and graphic designer Stefan Sagmeister. Arturo will share AV’s latest “extreme” projects and discuss his vision of design and architecture for the future.

Arturo Vittori has been invited by SOM – Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, in Chicago, to present AV’s vision and projects on Friday May 16.
The meeting is meant to “establish discourse with those who identify and explore the designed environment” in the hope that the dialogue will pose new questions, challenges, and creative inspiration.
