During the opening of the prize-winning Architecture and Vision exhibition “From Pyramids to Spacecraft” in Shanghai, Andreas Vogler was interviewed by Shanghai Television. Andreas presented projects like MoonBaseTwo and AirTree and highlighted the importance, of using our future technology to live in harmony with nature and not against it. The interview was broadcasted on July 19 in the periodical TV magazine “Creative World”, showing world innovation and creative vision.

The science and knowledge magazine “Nano” from German, Swiss and Austrian TV channel 3sat, interviewed Andreas Vogler in the Munich office. Andreas explains Architecture and Vision’s background in aerospace design and how the know-how of extreme light-weight construction and low resource usage of spaceflight can influence the architecture of the future, forming a continuity from pyramids to spacecraft.

The competition winning sculpture “LaFenice” will be officially inaugurated by the maire of the city of Messina Giuseppe Buzzanca  on June 22, 2011.
The public sculpture representing the memory of the city, is made of stainless steel and glass and has a height of 4,10 meter. The highly polished exterior reflects the surrounding of the city. The modern and abstract sculpture forms a new focal point for lively City of Messina.

Andreas Vogler has been invited to lecture about “DIGITAL CRAFTMANSHIP” at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture (CAFA) in Beijing. The China Central Academy of Fine Arts is one of China’s most prestigious and renowned art academies.

The Architecture and Vision traveling exhibition “FROM PYRAMIDS TO SPACECRAFT” at the “2011 Shanghai International Science & Art Exhibition” was opened on Friday May 13th at the Pudong Expo in Shanghai. The exhibition was organized by the Shanghai Association for Science and Technology (SAST) and swissnex China.

The Architecture and Vision projects “MoonBaseTwo” and “MoonVille” are part of the ‘LIVING – Frontiers of Architecture III and IV’ exhibition in the prestigious Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebaek, Denmark.
The Louisiana’s exhibition series Frontiers of Architecture I-IV, which the museum has been showing in the years 2007-2011, uses architecture’s deployment of other disciplines to illustrate the new movements and paths that are shifting the frontiers of architecture. With its overall theme LIVING, the last exhibition in the series, combining nos. III and IV and filling half the total exhibition space of the museum, turns the spotlight on the question “How does the Good Life look today?”
