Arturo Vittori will be lecturing at the A/D/O, New York, about the topic “Water from the Air”. The A/D/O wants to spark new creative work and build a meeting place for pioneers from diverse backgrounds. The new program “Water Futures“ research program, curated by Jane Withers, addresses and explores the drinking water crisis and asks: how can design help address this in the future? Responding to the tensions around water in the urban environment and the shift for cities to ban the single-use disposable plastic bottle, Water Futures aims to inspire designers to take action in reimagining our toxic drinking water culture and design alternative realities. Arturo Vittori, will be invited Speakers at the 4th edition of the The International Convention, this year the topic and titled is: ‘ARIA’. Organized by the Italian Institute of Bio-Architecture the event will be set in San Vito Lo Capo, in Sicily, this 25th of May. Architecture and Vision’s director will be presenting the AirTree project as an answer to the severe issue of Air pollution: The World Health Organization states that 2.4 million people die each year from causes directly attributable to air pollution. Worldwide more deaths per year are linked to air pollution than to automobile accidents. “That all people should have free access to air and water of acceptable quality is a fundamental human right.” (WHO) AirTree provide cities with an new urban sculpture that not only become a social place for people to meet but also designed with the important function of cleaning the air, reduce noise and to offer a better and safer urban environment. ... We are honoured to announce that Warka Tower project has been nomination for the Climate Action Challenge #climateactionchallenge ! The Climate Action Challenge, initiated in close collaboration with IKEA Foundation and Autodesk Foundation, received 384 entries from 70 countries. Out of the 384 entries the selection committee nominated 35 projects. These are exhibited during the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven from 21 until 29 October. Stay tuned for more updates !

Arturo Vittori will be talking about Architecture and Vision work at the “Innovator of the Real World” event, to celebrate CSEM Brasil’s 10th anniversary and to discuss with leaders of companies talk about their perceptions in relation to the opportunities and challenges of the technological innovation process. The goal is to create links between various sectors and institutions and promote innovation and competitiveness of the Brazilian industry.
