Cairo Green

The Swiss Embassy in Cairo and the American University in Cairo (AUC) jointly invited ‘Architecture and Vision’ Directors Arturo Vittori and Andreas Vogler and of the office to present their exhibition “From Pyramids to Spacecraft” at the AUC premises in New Cairo, from November 18 to 26, 2012.
The exhibition has been shown in numerous other capitals already, where it attracted much interest. It features 16 projects of Architecture and Vision. shown on 20 panels, 10 scale models and a multi-media projection, and aims at bringing to extreme environments, such as megacities and deserts, environmentally sustainable architecture characterized by innovation and functionality.
In connection with the exhibition. Mr. Vogler and Mr. Vittori will give a lecture on November 19, 2012, conduct a 3-day workshop with university students on the topic of urban sustainability from 22 to 24 November, and participate in 2 panel discussions on 20 and 26 November, 2012. The first panel discussion is entitled “Cairo Green: Decentralization for Urban Sustainability” and will be held on November 20, 201 2, from 7 to 9 pm at the AUC Down Town, Oriental Hall.

The second panel discussion is entitled “Breathing Life into Cairo: Combating Air Pollution” and will be held on November 26, 201 2, from 7 to 9 pm at the AUC Down Town, Oriental Hall.
