FuturoTextiles | Opening

'WarkaWater' has been inaugurated at the opening of the 'FuturoTextiles' exhibition at the Cité des Sciences et de l'industrie in Parc de la Villette, Paris. Arturo Vittori and Andreas Vogler presented WarkaWater to minister Fleur Pellerin, astronaut Claudie Haigneré and Martine Aubry, mayor of Lille. Created in 2006 by Lille3000, Futurotextiles is a discovery journey through the world of textiles. Artistic, playful and poetic, based in science and technology with pieces by some of the greatest creators of the past few years. 'WarkaWater' is a 9 m high tower constructed with a giunco framework. The fabric inside allows fog-harvesting. 'Architecture and Vision’ is inviting institutions, NGO’s and private donators to support the further development of this project.
