010 Columbia Memorial
The project is a proposal for a memorial to be installed at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral to honor the memory of the seven astronauts who lost their lives in the Columbia Shuttle tragedy on February 1, 2003, during its return to Earth. The seven carbon fiber rods are moving slowly with the wind. Rotating dichroic glass mirrors at the top multiply the reflections of light from the Sun and the Moon.
