052 Moon Ville
‘Moon Ville’ is a visualization of a permanent Moon settlement in the year 2050. It provides living and workspace for 100 inhabitants and visiting tourists. Its South Pole location allows continuous use of sunlight energy to power the infrastructure and greenhouses, which recycle air and water and provide fresh food for the lunar villagers. Mining of regolith – lunar soil – allows the production of oxygen to fuel rockets returning to Earth. Large deep space telescopes located within craters will provide new insights into yet unknown galaxies.
