055 Helix Bench
‘Helix Bench’ combines traditional woodcraft with ubiquitous internet technology and augmented reality in public spaces. It is a system composed of two modules. The cylindrical-shaped bench can be used in unconventional ways—the hollow interior can become a place for children to play. The associated solar module allows people to charge their smart devices for local wi-fi access and augmented reality applications. The modular, self-sufficient concept allows the bench to be placed in a variety of different contexts.
