067 Space Gate
‘Space Gate’ is a proposal by Colonel Roberto Vittori, ESA astronaut, for an intercontinental sub-orbital transportation infrastructure. With the development of new suborbital spaceplanes during the last decade, the concept of a regular sub-orbital airline could become reality in near future. Travel times from Europe to Australia could be cut down to 2 hours. The concept includes the design of the entire passenger travel experience including ground infrastructure as well as vehicle design.
